"We purchased this system about a month ago. We found it to be a little too short, with not much room to grow some of our larger plants. We found a company called bespoke aquariums that supplied the same, strange PVC tubing size (40mm OD) that this system uses and we increased its height to 1. 8m and its width to 700mm. Quick coat of plastic adhesion promoter and some bay leaf green spray paint and it works like a dream."
"As somone who is just getting into the hydroponics scene, this system provides the bones to start learing correctly. Having previously tried a DIY solutuion with no real previous luck, the build quality of the 63 hole system is quite amazing, given the low price. Having only owned it for a couple of days, I already have some thoughts which may help others. 1. Getting the level on this is extremely important (and a little difficult from my experience). Take your time and ensure that all the pieces are square. 2. Make sure that the correct verticle pipes are used on each end. Your inlet side needs to be blocked at the top to allow the water to flow through the 3 channels. 3. There were no instructions in my box. Not sure if this is normal or mine were missed. You shouldn't need any, but having now known point 2, its fairly straight forward to put together. (PS, you also shouldn't need pipe glue, it doesnt appear to leak with just press fitting everything together). 4. The 3D printed accessories (specifically the caps) i found were quite hard to remove once inserted. The taper on the outside makes it hard to pull out. Given this, I redesigned the piece to remove the taper, and its now much easier to pull out."
